About

Chelsea’s creative journey began early—sewing and crafting since the age of five. Her passion for costume design led her to manage the costume shop at her alma mater, Queens College, before interning with both Cornerstone Theater Company in California and People’s Light and Theatre in Pennsylvania. After relocating to Chattanooga and managing a local costume shop, Chelsea shifted her focus to what truly fuels her: personal style and self-expression.At the heart of Chelsea’s work is a deep commitment to body positivity and authentic embodiment. Her business is built on the belief that fashion should empower individuals to express their truest selves. As a passionate advocate for gender-affirming style, she uses her talents to help clients feel seen, celebrated, and comfortable in their bodies.Chelsea is a full-range seamstress, equally skilled in basic repairs and complex, creative alterations. She has a special love for vintage and heirloom garments, honoring their original character while giving them new life. Every project—big or small—is approached with care, creativity, and respect.Community engagement is a core value of Holy Moly Textiles. Chelsea regularly hosts quarterly clothing swaps (follow along on Instagram for updates), and teaches sewing classes at The Chattery and Knot & Needle. She also collaborates with Fusion Threads Collective, a local clothing brand focused on sustainable and organic materials, and partners with Be The Change Youth Initiative to support mental health and the arts for local students.During the pandemic, Chelsea discovered a new passion: weaving. Drawn to the slow, meditative rhythm of the craft, she now creates minimal-waste products from fabric scraps, available at Fusion Threads, as well as magically inspired woven art, available at Ritual & Remedy. Her work is also on display at Stone Cup Café on Frazier Avenue.Interested in working with Chelsea?
